Blending liquid drum and bass with alt-pop melancholy, Emma Tea unveiled her new single House on Fire on the 31st of July. Produced by the artist duo BLVCK VIOLET, the track paints a picture of calm masking emotional burnout. The lyrics explore overstimulation and the comforts of denial, with a sound that sits between the darkest corners of a room and a colourful festival.

With influences from Kenya Grace to Venbee, Emma Tea captures the quiet chaos of masking an internal collapse. Vocals drift above a rolling baseline, with drums and synth sounds enhancing the vibe of authenticity.

House on Fire is the first track produced by BLVCK VIOLET that doesn’t feature them as artists. Mixed and mastered by Jennings Couch at Holywell Studios, the single explores a new musical direction for Emma Tea, while maintaining the authenticity she has carried since her debut.

Emma Tea is a London-based alt-pop artist. The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist is making waves in the alt-pop scene with her delicate yet powerful vocals and impressive genre-bending sound. Since her 2022 debut, Emma Tea has continued to release music that resonates deeply with her listeners, emotionally raw and honest.
